The Gathering Place Church
At TGP, we believe in Local, National, and International Missions. We are answering the call to “GO.” To “GO” and serve the lost and unfortunate throughout the world and make disciples of all the nations.
It is our goal to mobilize the Body of Christ to spread the Gospel so that the lost may be found, the found may be strengthened, and God is Glorified.
From mission trips to church planting, The Great Commission continues here! Together with our global partners, we are taking the gospel outside the walls of our church to our community, our state, our nation, and the rest of the world.
Our first responsibility is our City. Through Local Missions, we support and partner with local ministries to reach the people of our city and state.
Our heart for international missions is the Unreached and to help resource and add fuel to the fires of movements that have already started. And because of that, our focus is the 10/40 Window!
Today, over 3.2 billion people, or over 7,400 people groups, are unreached. That means 97% of the world’s unreached live inside this window. An average of 70k people die daily in the 10/40 window; that is almost 25,000,000 people a year that has never heard the Gospel. People never hearing the Gospel is a reality, but not having access to the Gospel is a travesty. Despite this travesty, less than 1% of resources and less than 3% of missionaries go to the unreached. This results in the gospel poor remaining poor while the gospel rich getting richer.
In light of this, TGP focuses specifically on the hardest-to-reach places and people groups within the 10/40 Window where the most urgent physical and spiritual needs exist.
